    Hi,

If I had to choose from your list, it would be choice number 1. You will need the extra graphical power using Adobe. PLus the 4k display will allow you to see 4k content in its native format. IMHO

    - First is the iMac. It has better GPU which is used in some aps for computations. One app is Photoshop

    - Second is the 2012 Mini since it has four cores. You can install an SSD

    - Last the 2014 Mini. However, the advantage is that it has better GPU than the 2012 and it will likely support a later OSX version than the 2012.

The RAM in the 2014 Mini can't be upgraded while it can in the 2012 Mini.

    Per this

    https://eshop.macsales.com/shop/apple/memory/iMac

the RAM in a 2014 and later 21.5" iMac can't be upgraded.

I would only get the iMac ands 2014 Mini with 16 GB OF MEMORY

so 16 gb ram is enough?

have fun with a 4K display and an integrated GPU when you start doing anything necessary in Final Cut, because you will have a shiny turtle on your desk.

Also FWIW on 2015 model macs the 3.0GHz. mini and both Macbook Air 2.2GHz. models are dual core i7's. While the dual core i7's were designed for less power consumption to the battery at the expense of computing power I'm not entirely sure why Apple put one in a Mini other than to keep the price down by offering less CPU power than a quad core i7.

All Mac Mini's up until 2015 have quad core i7s, after that they go to dual core.

I support a 21.11 2.7GHz. i5 8GB RAM iMac 512MB Nvidia 640M that was purchased for design work. The system was demoted because was not up to the design needs of the Graphics art department. I would hate to see how this thing works with a 4k display because the 640M would not be able to do it with the CPU actually needing to be used

the Intel 6200 is a better card but it's still stuck sharing RAM from what the system will give it, and it's all DDR3 which for video editing could prove to be a bottleneck. Apple was once the go-to system for video editing, graphics and music, they do not seem particularly concerned with continuing that tradition on lower end systems.

I agree with you, but talking about low-end and pay 1,000 or 1,600 this range does not sound like low-end though it is, with those values could buy a PC with a 24 gb of ram and i7 cpu and gpu 4 gb ! I do not think apple us so little for our money, then the verdict is ? 21.5 imac ? because it is superior to the minis ? and it comes all in one ?

For video editing Id say that PC with 24GB RAM, an i7 and a 4GB GPU is going to be a far more viable production system for years to come. Apple has cut down on performance hardware on many systems to increase battery life, power needs and heat dissipation, they still look nice though if that's what you're concerned with.
