Q: iTunes 12.4.3.1 crashes when syncing iPhone 6 running 9.3.5

As it says, iTunes force quits/crashes when trying to sync with my iPhone 6. This is an issue I have been having with previous iOS versions too and the phone seems to get stuck usually during one of the steps after backing up the phone, typically during the last step or so: "Waiting for items to sync." When I quit iTunes and plug the phone back in, it tends to go fine. This doesn't happens every time I sync and is random. Was just wondering if others have this issue and what could be done to fix it.

What you're doing now is fine. "Waiting for items to sync" is sometimes, especially after a system update a long process, so don't jump the ship too early. You could also try performing a Reset while the device is connected to iTunes, but relaunching iTunes usually works best.

    ------

    Try these standard troubleshooting steps.

Reset: hold down the Home and Power buttons until you see the Apple logo (10-20 seconds).

If this doesn't help, you might need to Restore your iPhone: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204184

If your backup is to iTunes, make sure it's an encrypted backup.

Restoring the phone seems to be working for now, but it's hard to know if it wont come back. Thanks for your response.
