    Hello Tharmes,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I understand from your post that an app called Yandex.Navigator is showing up next to your other navigation apps. The App Store shows Yandex.Navigator as an actual app. If you do not remember installing it, I would suggest removing it from your iPhone.

Use the steps from the following article to delete an app from your iPhone:

Delete music, movies, apps, and other content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Delete an app

    1. Press and hold the app until it jiggles.
    2. Tap the   in the upper-left corner to delete.

You might be asked to confirm that you want to delete the app. If you see a pop-up that says, "Deleting [app name] will also delete all of its data," tap Delete.

    Best Regards

If it doesn't exist on your phone, how can you have a problem?

If you notice, Shag was responding to loanaioana who claimed to have the same problem but could not find it on their phone. So, the response was how can you have a problem if you don't have the app.

Well, how can I have the option to open this app if the app does not exist? This clearly is a problem, since I have not downloaded the app, yet I do have the option to open a location sent on Whatsapp in Yandex.Navigator.

    Wouldn't that worry you?

Check Maps and see if I you find in the places you supposedly searched for is written Yandex.Navigator.

i Think the problem is with Maps and not whatapp.

no, I don't. I also deleted all my apps as well but this thing keeps coming. I thought it might be a problem with Maps because it's a native app so it can not be deleted and in mine shows written Yandex.Navigator But I never typed this name.

I Talked to apple support and the said there is an app called Yandex.Navigator but I have never downloaded it. Other than that they offered no help at all. I calling them again because this thing is completely odd.

Yandex is the Russian version of google, therefore yandex.navigator is the Russian version of google maps. after some research on the internet, I have found out that this app is known for not switching off the microphone, therefore recording while not using the app. i find this app to be unsafe and i am worried that it might send location without my permission.

i suspected it was a Russian app but now I'm really worried. What I don't understand is how this thing got into my iPhone. Apple should pay attention to this and not dismiss as if this was nothing. My iPhone is not jailbroken or anything and I only download app from Apple Store so it really is strange.
