Aug 30, 2016 3:11 PM in response to rozinasofijaby ChitlinsCC,I have alerted our Hosts, but they usually only change usernames if they contain some part that reveals personal information, not because you think it is "not relevant"

Aug 30, 2016 3:15 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby rozinasofija,Too bad. I guess I'll have to live with it then.
Thanks anyway.
I'd also like to ask why there is no option to delete an account on this forum? Just curious.

Aug 30, 2016 3:20 PM in response to rozinasofijaby ChitlinsCC,don't give up just yet... the Hosts will contact you via email in due time if they are willing to change the username
I kinda like it... it tells the story of your first experience with nefarious folks making money illegally from Apple ID sales, does it not? A good warning to folks
At the end of the day, few people will likely pay much attention to your username anyway

Aug 30, 2016 3:29 PM in response to ChitlinsCCby rozinasofija,This made me feel so much better, thank you! That's why it's not relevant anymore, because the issue was resolved. I was just slightly upset when I saw the charge and didn't think I could REALLY not be able to change my username later (yes, I know it's written and emphasised on the signup page ).
Off topic: do people really sell Apple IDs? Because I was charged when I tried to change some info on my Apple ID account.

Aug 30, 2016 3:34 PM in response to rozinasofijaby turingtest2,Setting up an Apple ID is free. See About payment card authorization holds in the iTunes Store - Apple Support for information about any temporary holds that may be made as part of validating your identity when you set up an account or make certain changes to it.

Aug 30, 2016 3:44 PM in response to turingtest2by rozinasofija,Yup. That's almost the exact same info I've found. Really calmed me down. I think I was a bit on edge, because I got an email about someone signing in with my Apple ID, which was not fun.
Thanks anyway!

Aug 30, 2016 3:48 PM in response to rozinasofijaby turingtest2,Ah, you need to watch out for fake emails that try to get you to sign into a clone of Apple's site, then steal your credentials. If you used links in an email make sure they really go to apple.com. If not you may actually need to take action now to prevent your account being misused.
