Q: Variable playback speed?

Does the podcasts app allow variable playback speed?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities!

 

It sounds like you want to vary the playback speed of podcasts.  I will be happy to help you with this.

 

The latest version of the Podcast app (2.4) does allow for variable speed playback.  When looking at the play controls you should see a "1x" to the left.  Tap on that and it will cycle thru 1 1/2x, 2x, 1/2x and back to 1x.

    In Now Playing view, keep tapping on the number to the left of play controls.
