You say "... and I'm not using it."; however, apps may well be running in the background.

Aug 27, 2016 1:09 PM in response to sbermanby Cmaghes,I understand this, but I have not changed my habits of the apps I use in the last few days (and I'm not using any apps that requires GPS location which I know drain the battery alot) so it would seem to me that the update may have caused this. I think going dropping more than 50% in less than an hour is alot and when I plug the phone into a portable charger the battery indicator immediately increases more than 30%. This by itself makes me think there is an issue with the battery indicator app.

Aug 30, 2016 8:03 PM in response to Cmaghesby AwaySooner,My iPhone 6 is showing the same behavior too. One moment it's show 30-40%, then suddenly shutdown for no battery. Plug it in, startup and now show 30%. Very random things like that after updating to 9.3.5. This is really annoying as a loyal Apple fans.

Aug 31, 2016 3:05 PM in response to Cmaghesby Mark Mcintyre1,YES! ever since updating my iPad to 9.3.5, that battery indicator will show a continuoud loss of power whenever I am running an app, even though the iPad is plugged into power source. Has never done this before in tre several years have been using this iPad.

Sep 6, 2016 5:42 PM in response to Cmaghesby LeoinGA,Problem Solved:
I had noticed my battery usage had dramatically increased with 9.3.5 and have read and attempted to follow every discussion of this problem. During the course of attempting to resolve the problem I performed several "restores" via iTunes. I also deleted all the apps I'd added in the past several months, performed a reset "All Settings", and again restored to recent backup via iTunes. None of these helped. I finally performed Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Settings and Content, and then performed an iTunes restore to a much older backup - e.g., March. That has completely resolved the problem. Apparently, there was something seriously wrong within the settings and/or ios that was being restored from my recent backups.
