Q: How to import photos from iPhone to Windows 10 Photo App?

My goal is to import my photos from my iPhone 5c and into the Photo App on my Windows 10 computer. I successfully did this last February, however I am now having trouble. I wish to use this method because it will automatically delete imported photos from my phone, freeing up space on the phone. I also wish to retain my photos locally on my Windows 10 computer. I do not wish to use the cloud for this project.

I tried several times to complete this task my using my USB cable to plug my phone into my computer. However, I keep getting this error:

I visited this page, however the Windows 10 link seems to be dead or outdated. I then visited this page, and followed all of its advice. I updated my phone, iTunes, and my computer. I used different USB cords in different USB slots, including a USB 3.0 slot. I tried it on two different Windows 10 computers, and do not have accesses to computers with other OS's. I unlocked the phone, made sure it trusted my computer, and tried again. All to no avail. I cannot get Windows 10 Photo App to recognize my iPhone as a connected device.

I have also contacted Windows about this problem.

Any additional solutions?

iPhone 5c, iOS 9.3.5
