Q: v9.3.5 problem: Cannot connect to Apple!

I have an iPhone 6, storage capacity 11.8.  On Aug. 30, 2016, I downloaded and installed iOS v. 9.3.5.  Today is Aug. 31, 2016, and my phone will no longer connect to Apple in any way.  My Apple News App will not update. I cannot connect to the Apps Store or the iTunes store.  I can run a Google search on Safari, but if I try to click one of the results, I get the message, "Safari cannot open the page because the server cannot be found."  If I try to check for a software update in Settings > General, the action times out and tells me there was an error checking for updates.

 

However, all my other installed apps are working just fine.  My wifi connection is present, and strong. I can post to Facebook, I can watch Youtube videos, as well as use my other non-Apple related apps.  I can send and receive texts and phone calls.

 

Now what do I do?!
