Q: calDAV cardDAV fix when ? osx 10.11.6

Hi can someone from apple confirm if they are working on a fix for webDAV?

Can they also confirm if standard webDAV is broken in OSX 10.11..6 and that it does not support the standard webDAV protocols for servers such as ownCloud.

The Address and Calender aplications are connecting to google with WebDAV and yet no other standard webDav servers are supported, is this correct ?

currently we are on OSX 10.11.6 as of wrting this request and there is no fix ?

hopfuly i'm wrong here and this has been fixed long ago ?

I look forward to an answer from Apple

    This is a user-to-user forum.

If you can describe what specific issue you are having with webDAV, maybe someone on this list can help, but we are just users, not Apple.

What makes you think that webDAV does not work or is broken? It is supposed to work. Have you actually tried? Or did someone tell you it is broken?

Edit: have a look at this document OS X El Capitan: Connect to a WebDAV server

sorry ,  thought this forum was a support forum run by apple that may be read by staff that work for

    apple. woops!

WebDav is known to be broken up to OSX 10.11.4 and I presume still broken.

When I say broken its clear now that its a delibarate cripple in the software that breaks webdav to force

Icloud use. Also Google are in on it since they will drop webDAV support to all of there apps.

I found a work around in case anyone is running ownCloud or trying to get apple Contacts or Calender to sync to ownCloud. add these redirects for the Apache server , virtual host serving ownCloud as a work around to fix Apples cripple setup in software.

    Redirect 301 /.well-known/carddav /owncloud/remote.php/carddav

    Redirect 301 /.well-known/caldav /owncloud/remote.php/caldav

I read more about the issue since I posted my first comment here..

    el capitan cardDAV sync broken?

Anyone know the suitible place to ask Apple the original question ? I think it would be useful for the open source community to know for sure one way or the other if Apple are working on fixing the broken webDAV in OSX or just hoping it will go away.

Only the original poster of a thread can mark an answer as "this has solved my question" or "this has helped me", so I can only subsume you may have clicked it by mistake. Unfortunately I don't think that you can undo this. You may start a new thread if you think it is best.
