Q: Issue with LAN connectivity after wake-up from sleep/hibernate

Hi All,

i'm running Windows 10 with Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro Retina 13" (A1502, late 2013) and have solved most initial issues with the installation of the latest Apple drivers downloaded through the Bootcamp assistant and installed correctly under Windows.

However, one still persists: my LAN connection doesn't work anymore after the MBP wakes up from sleep / hibernate! I have to restart the machine, and then it works fine. No problems under OS-X (El Capitan).

Specifically, Windows doesn't see any Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet adapter anymore in those cases... thus it doesn't depend on the network I'm trying to connect to at all (i checked different ones just to be sure).

I don't know what to do. Any idea?

Thank you very much in advance!

Check Device Manager -> Network Adapter, before and after you wake it up from sleep. Do you see a second instance of the same Network adapter?

    Thanks for the reply!

I think it has to do with the presence of the network adapter, but the issue is actually slightly different and rather clear:

    - Before sleep (when it works), it's present

    - After wake-up (when LAN doesn't work)... it's gone!

No idea how to fix that except for reboot!

    Any idea?

After you wake up the computer,

    1. Check View -> Show Hidden Devices.

    2. Rescan for hardware changes without reboot and test.

Hardware re-discovery from sleep/wake is problematic in several Windows versions on Bootcamp/Mac.
