Aug 29, 2016 10:46 PM in response to blackgorgeby Jim Wanamaker,★HelpfulThis problem has been reported in the forum previously and I don't believe a solution was ever posted. Does your project consist of all video clips or a mix of video and photos? Just noticed you said you see this when exporting. Does that mean it is ok in the timeline?

Aug 29, 2016 10:46 PM in response to Jim Wanamakerby blackgorge,Yes, its OK in the timeline and I have a mix of photos and movies. (i would be glad to share the project if you tell me how) thats half of the problem... if it were to happen in the timeline, i could try playing around with different images, video parts or transitions but I have yet to identify any pattern when it occurs...
I have no idea what to do or who to ask...I have a family event shortly and I cant show something like this... I am seriously considering turning to a purchusing another app and doing it on my PC

Aug 30, 2016 2:33 PM in response to blackgorgeby Jim Wanamaker,Yes this is a difficult issue to trouble shoot. I gather from your response that it doesn't happen with every export but is random. Does it occur with different share options/locations? When it happens is the entire movie affected or only photos or video? The fact that it doesn't appear in the timeline is interesting. Perhaps it is related to the render files iMovie creates for sharing. Have you tried creating a new project and copy/paste your movie into it?

Aug 30, 2016 11:23 PM in response to Jim Wanamakerby blackgorge,This has happened in two different projects I created. I deleted my imovie library and then upgraded to the new version and two Al Capitan.
It it possible to work on a project on one mac and then export the project to another mac (for rendering) ?

Aug 31, 2016 12:06 PM in response to blackgorgeby Jim Wanamaker,Yes it is possible but the easiest way is to move the library. The other computer must be running the same version of iMovie. If it is on the same network just drag the library to the movies folder in the other computer. I don't think this will solve your problem as it doesn't appear to be hardware related since it doesn't occur on all projects. Were the two projects where this happened created in the older version of iMovie or after the upgrade? Have you experienced this issue with a new project in a new library in the new version of iMovie? My suspicion is it is an issue with your media not iMovie or your computer.
