Sep 23, 2014 4:12 PM in response to Mastoneby bobseufert,If it doesn't disappear by tapping the solid blue icon try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own.
Unfortunately it can't be turned off permanently. -
Sep 23, 2014 4:31 PM in response to bobseufertby dlflannery,I would like to have it disappear right after I make a selection in it, and not reappear until I tap the bookmark icon.
I would also like to have it on the right side of the window although that is of minor importance to me.

Oct 18, 2014 8:50 AM in response to bobseufertby Lssags,SSo are u saying that I have to turn off the iPad to make the stupid bookmarks go away. Cause tapping on the blue bookmark doesn't make them go away. I would rather not use bookmarks at all. Can't even read the screen with a third of it taken up with bookmark

Oct 18, 2014 9:01 AM in response to Lssagsby Ralph9430,Are you tapping on the correct Blue Bookmark icon? To make the list of bookmarks go away tap on the solid blue bookmark icon that is at the very top of the Safari window next to the place you would type in a URL or search term. You should not have to turn off/on your iPad to make this happen.
