    Hello Cauksfromaus,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that when you try to play songs in Apple Music, the songs appear greyed out and unavailable. I completely understand. I listen to Apple Music all the time. So, I know how important it is that we get this issue resolved. I have a few things that I would like you to try.

First, please use the following article and give your iOS device a fresh restart, and then test to see if you get the same result:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Next, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store and sign out. Then, sign back in, and test to see if you get the same result with songs being grey and unavailable.

And finally, try to test this on Wi-Fi and cellular data and see if you get the same result when trying to play music.

    Best Regards.

    Greetings Cauksfromaus,

Thank you for trying those steps. We have something else that we would like you to try.

Please use the article About iCloud Music Library icons and status, specifically, this section:

If your songs appear in light gray text

Your songs might appear in iTunes in light gray text for a variety of reasons. Those reasons include:

    • You're not connected to iCloud Music Library. If you see a Disconnected icon in the upper-right corner of iTunes, you're not connected to iCloud Music Library. Click the icon to reconnect.
    • The song isn't in Apple Music or isn't available in your current country. These songs also appear in gray if you search for them in Apple Music.
    • Restrictions are turned on for explicit tracks. Learn more about Restrictions.
    • An artist or content provider made changes or edits to an album. You might need to remove the album from your library and add it back from the Apple Music catalog.

On your iPhone, please verify that iCloud Music Library is enabled by following this path: Settings > Music > iCloud Music Library. If it is enabled, please toggle off, and then turn back on and test to see if you get the same result.

    Best Regards.
