Q: Apple TV & Shared Photo Albums

Just connected Apple TV (3rd gen) to TV and stereo system. Most functions work as expected.  iCloud Shared Photo Albums do NOT. I have 2 iMacs, 2 iPhones, & 2 iPads on the same iTunes acct., as well as the Apple TV.  One iMac has the main Photos and iTunes libraries on it.  All but the Apple TV see the iCloud Shared Photo Albums.  Apple TV also does NOT see my (1) purchased Movie, however it does see, and will play, my ‘Home Videos’.  Under iTubes FILE - HOME SHARING - CHOOSE PHOTOS TO SHARE WITH APPLE TV, I can manually select any album in my PHOTOs library and it will show on APPLE TV, but the iCloud Shared Albums are not shown or available for selection.  Am I doing something wrong or is it that iCloud Shared Albums cannot be displayed on Apple TV? Also, what could be keeping my 1 purchased Movie from showing up on the Apple TV?

Apple TV, iOS 9.3.5

iCloud photo sharing is accessed through the Photos app, photos on your computers are accessed through the computer app, can you confirm which it is that isn't woking.

Please read the post again.  It said nothing about iCloud Photo Sharing not working - to the contrary, it stated that iCloud Photo Sharing was working just fine on 2 iMacs, 2 iPhones, and 2 iPads.  The problem is that the "Shared Albums" that can be seem on all those other devices (via iCloud Photo Sharing), cannot be seen on the Apple TV.  Also not seen on the Apple TV is the lone purchased movie that is in my library.

    Please read my post again.

Shared albums are iCloud photo sharing.

It's not clear what your problem is because your nomenclature is possibly inaccurate, could you please tell us whether your problem is seeing photos through the photos app or the computer app.

Again there is NO problem "seeing" photos.  I can 'see' my photos with all kinds of Apps; Photos, iPhotos, Preview, Aperture, Lightroom, Elements, and a plethora of other photo editing apps, but in using a Mac since 1989, I have never had "the computer app" on any of my Macs.  So explain to me again about this 'nomenclature' problem you think I have.  On second thought; lets let someone else have a go at it.

There is a computer app and a photos app on the Apple TV.

You say that the Apple TV can't see shared photos, shared photos are seen on the Apple TV by using the Photos app, but then you talk about choosing photos for home sharing in iTunes (iTubes), but you see photos on the Apple TV through the Photos app.

So which is it, where are you expecting to see photos that you don't.
