Q: Cant open one drive synched files in pages

I am using a Macbook pro, which is synced with my one drive account.

All was fine until i tried tagging my one drive documents (red tags for work, blue tags for home etc) on the mac. Since then, i can't open the files at all on the mac, only through the online one drive server. When i try to open the files that i tagged, the OS sends a message that pages couldn't open the file for some reason. One drive Files on my mac that i didn't tag are fine, they still open with no problem, as do regular pages documents.

i can't edit my one drive files on my mac now because of this tagging issue

Tried to uninstall one drive and reinstall didn't  help.

Ideas?

One Drive is run by Microsoft and Windows doesn't support tags so may be changing them in some way.

    Stick with DropBox and iCloud.

Apple supports tags on Pages documents on iCloud Drive, and on the local OS X filesystem — because tags support is built into the OS X Finder. Storing your Pages document elsewhere is unsupported by Apple, or even other vendors such as Dropbox, One Drive, Google Drive, or on Microsoft Windows.

Even storing your Pages v5 document on Apple supported filesystems is no assurance that you will always be able to open it. You may receive the “Sorry, this document couldn't be opened for some reason,” dialog box. That will ruin your day.
