Q: Printing problems since upgrading to El Capitan

Two weeks ago I upgraded to El Capitan. Since then I have been unable to print from Adobe Acrobat or any Microsoft Office Programs. I use my Macbook for business purposes and this issue is causing downtime with my work. This has nothing to do with printer drivers as I can't print to a PDF either.

I utilised Apple telephone support to no avail. I went to an Apple genius bar and they couldn't understand it either. They wiped my notebook clean and then I went home and restored the time machine back up from the night before. The problem was still there. So I uninstalled Microsoft office (last resort recommended by technician at genius bar) and reinstalled it. The problem is still there and worse still Outlook is freezing. I rang a random computer repairer company this morning who specialises in Macs. They said they couldn't help me because they would only do what I have done already. My Macbook Pro is only a few years old and now I'm looking down the barrel of purchasing a new laptop - all because I upgraded to El Capitan!

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)
