Sep 1, 2016 3:54 AM in response to paddymelby Russ H,What are your system specs – both hardware and OS version?
Bring up the QuickTime inspector (command-i) for both clips (the one that drops frames and the one that doesn't). Take a screen shot of the inspector report and post so we can note any differences.
Thanks.

Sep 1, 2016 4:16 PM in response to Russ Hby paddymel,Thanks for writing Russ. The specs on my machine are:
Processor 2 x 2.4 GHz quad core intel xeon
Memory 24 GB
Start up disk Macintosh HD
Mac OSX Version 10.6.8
Inspector report from jumpy scene Inspector report from static scene
Note: Both of these shots are from the same scene. But the first time used it jumps and the second time it is ok.
Also the shots either side of both of these are ok.
Thanks for your help.

Sep 2, 2016 6:03 AM in response to paddymelby Russ H,Looks like 2 inspector reports for the same file. Same name, same path. I was looking any differences in properties between the files from QT Conversion and QT Movie.
If the same file plays smoothly sometimes and not other times I would suspect the graphics card.
Russ
