Q: tack pad not working

hey i recently updated my mac and my trackpad stop working and my keyboard started acting up any helps ??

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Hey Francis,

Having a trackpad and keyboard that does not work can really prevent your enjoyment of your MacBook.
Here are a few things to try.

Resort the computer.

Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

Reset the NVRAM ( How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac )
These steps should resolve they keyboard and trackpad issue.

Hey Jesse it did not work unfortunately I have to use a extrenal mouse and keyboard

if both of those steps did not resolve the issue, next we would want to test in safe boot to see if there is any third party software causing this issue.
OS X El Capitan: Start up in safe mode

If this still does not work we would need to get it into a service provider to have it looked at hands on.
