Having a trackpad and keyboard that does not work can really prevent your enjoyment of your MacBook.
Here are a few things to try.
- Resort the computer.
- Reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac
- Reset the NVRAM ( How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac )
These steps should resolve they keyboard and trackpad issue.

OS X El Capitan: Start up in safe mode
If this still does not work we would need to get it into a service provider to have it looked at hands on.
