Thank you for choosing Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding you've been experiencing issues with your iPhone ringer intermittently turning off and on. I can see how this would be concerning, especially since it's occurring when the phone isn't being used. I am happy to help get this resolved with you.
First, I recommend restarting your phone. This can resolve many unexpected behaviors. Follow the steps bellow to restart.- Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
- Drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
- After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If the issue persists check the Ring/Silent button for looseness or interference. Use the images and information in the following link for assistance.
