Q: Moving iTunes Library

My hard drive is almost full.  If I delete my iTunes Library (synced to my iPhone 6), clean up and purge my hard drive, can I reconnect my iPhone and bring back my Library?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.4, hard drive

    Hello th6800,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to be able to make space on your hard drive, and I'd like to help you make room as effectively as possible.

It's important to note that while it's not possible to move your music from your iPhone back to your hard drive, you can redownload your past purchases from the iTunes store. If you've imported any of your songs from CDs or other media then you will have to manually re-add them. You may need to re-sync your iPhone and other iOS devices afterwards.  To learn how to redownload past purchases, have a look at this article:  Download your past purchases

If you run into any trouble or have any questions the entire community is here to help.
    -Best Regards

See Make a split library portable. Move your library to an external drive and then back that up too. I have some advice to Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device but you shouldn't put yourself in a position where you have to use it if you don't have to.
