Mac OS XI posted an actual solution in the post you responded to. It's a hardware problem. Take it to an Apple store for diagnosis.

Aug 23, 2016 8:22 AM in response to Lawrence Finchby tqnmd,Stop shilling for Apple. People are seeking solutions not to waste their time at the Apple Store. Everyone with a 6 is out f warrant and dont want to pat $300 for a refurb 6. Apple refuses to even acknowledge a problem. If people could warranty their phone, they wouldn't be on here

Aug 23, 2016 4:02 PM in response to tqnmdby sudenlyconfident,Couldn't agree more. Awesome if you can afford the extremely expensive Apple validated repair, but you even said the Apple guy didn't even acknowledge there was a problem. I am very grateful for the advice, thank you! I'll do some checking around as far as getting it replaced, but I have never taken apart an iphone before so I am not sure if I am brave enough. Too bad Apple doesn't offer a more affordable repairs.

I can understand Apple wont officially support you going to an unofficial technical service, but there are millions of people who can't reach one, so they must know they can fix it elsewhere...

Think about it for a minute.
- Apple does not consider iPhones serviceable by anyone other than Apple or people trained by Apple. While there is some question about this policy, it is the current policy.
- A key point is that there are no standards of competence for independents who claim to repair iPhones. You take your chances that whomever fixes it won't make it worse or break something else.
- If you try to fix it yourself and break it, you will be angry with Apple for refusing to further repair it; they can't, because there is no way to know what you may have damaged, and to them the phone is a total loss. They can't refurb it and use it as a warranty replacement.
- If you recommend an independent to repair it, by allowing the post to remain a smart lawyer could convince a court that allowing the post to remain is an endorsement of that repairer and you could sue Apple if the repairer failed.
