Q: how do i make sure it stays the same resolution as the origional

So I made a presentation in Keynote at a resolution of 1400x1050  Then exported it as a Quick time mov file at that resolution. and verified that it was at. 1400x1050.   It come out of iMovie at 1920x1080 and not 1400x1050 how do i make sure it stays the same resolution as the origional

    When you edited into the timeline in iMovie was the crop button in the tool bar set to fit or crop to fill? It should be set to fit. If crop to fill is selected iMovie will scale to a 16x9 frame which is what you are seeing instead of keeping your 4x3 frame. You will see black bars on the sides.
