Q: Car Bluetooth problem

Just purchased a new Iphone 5s, linked it up to my Astra J and having a few issues. 1) When my wife calls in just rings and wont let me answer (other callers no problem, has same phone as me too). Only way to stop it is turn my phone off. 2) Hands free not receiving text messages at all? MY old phone let my receive/answer texts no problem. Any clues as to what the issues are please? Thanks
