Q: When Macbook Air is frozen and pop up a fake number for help!

I want to share my bad experience.  Today when I used my Macbook Air, suddenly, my webpage was frozen I can't even close it, it pop up an "Official" page which told me my computer was locked by virus something and asked me to call the "Apple Tech Support Number": 1888-258-52**.  I was thinking if it was scam but the page looked very Apple Style and I can't move my page so I called that number.  The voice system lead me to the Tech support, he was very "nice" and "expert ", he asked me couple questions which I don't memorized, and asked me go fastsupport.com and to download the "Critrix Online Launcher", and then download the  "GoToAssist Customer"something.  Then he accessed my macbook air to show a lot of codes I did not understand, he told me that my computer IP address was shared by a lot of people which was so dangerous cause they can do whatever on my computer, he said he can fix it for me but the only way I can do is to buy the Protection Plan from him which cost $299/year, it can block all the virus and get the phone tech support and many many more benefits, I said I can't  afford it, then he said can give me the student discount for & 199, I still don't want it, then he said the other way is buy the one time fix rate $99 which only fix the current problems but not block the further virus, if I don't buy it today my macbook won't work any more and will be hacked again and again.  Well, I am not a Tech-person, I don't know a lot about that, I could not make the decision  at that moment, so I said let me think about it and call you back.  When hung up the phone I try to google it and see if is there anyone buy it, OMG, I can't image there were many people had same experience like me, that might be a scam.   It was so scary cause I let him access my computer before, I felt like I was a stupid.  So I contact the Apple Tech Support immediately, they told me the number was fake, and they don't have products block virus,  so they recommend me to download Malwarbytes to scan and restart my macbook air right away, my macbook air goes well now, I wish it will not be hacked or get the unknown virus in the future.  Guys, get my lesson and keep it in mind, the Apple Tech Support number is always 800-692-7753 or you can live chat with them as well.
