Q: curser unresponsive
Macbook. This week, for the second time, I have found my curser to be unresponsive when I try to click it. Also the first time the apps would not show, the second time they did but they too were unresponsive. I tried to restart but I was unable to click with the curser so I had to power off. Powered on, still the same. One thing that does happen though is a document opening, and then not responding.
At the moment I have powered it back on, and am waiting to see if anything happens.
It is an old Mac so I am wondering if this is the beginning of the end?
I am currently writing on my Macbok Pro with retina. I had the screen replaced by Apple last week due to the staining issue. They have done a great job and it looks like new, and at no cost. I am delighted with the service.
Thanks
LC.

The same unusual behavior of cursor was there it was stuck in corner , i tried to force quit , pressed the power button for 3 sec & closed the lid and it started .After that i ran the system in safe mode and it helped .
Also i found the article it is somewhat related if cursor jumps :If your pointer is jumpy when you use a trackpad, Magic Trackpad, or Magic Mouse - Apple Support
