Q: hotmail issues after last system update

Since the last system update to my MacBook Air, hotmail is constantly loosing connection and it takes a while to manage to reconnect. I have not notice the lost of connection with any other site. What can I do to fix this problem that the last system update has caused to hotmail?

The operating system after the last update is OS X EI Capitan 10.11.6

MacBook Air, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

    Hi Kaz,

Thank you for sending the link for the thread. I didn't link my Hotmail account to Apple mail. I am using mainly Google Crome and login in every time  to my Hotmail. My issue is not about the rejection of the password, it is about the connection. All other sites work perfectly, so I don't think is a connection problem, is only Hotmail/Outlook that freezes or that stops to work and a page with the message 'sorry could not download the page' appears.

Also, because of the issue of the lost connection, once my partner who has an hotmail account too, sent the an email to his work email, the email was clearly in the sent items, but next morning the email was not in work email and neither in his hotmail sent items.

My hotmail works perfectly in my iPhone 5.

How can the issue be solved? Would be easier to go back to the previous operating system and get rid of this El Capitan?
