Q: All the windows keeps closing/don't open

I mean that even if the RAM is fine and has been working for years now, to install El Capitan I had to put the RAM shipped with the Mac, otherwise the installation would stop.
It doesn't make sense, as the RAM is good, but it's a known error.
So I was wondering if non-original RAM was the cause of the error with the windows.

Sep 2, 2016 7:11 AMby OGELTHORPE,That is very unusual. I have never encountered such a situation nor have I come across any one else having to install original RAM in order to make a upgrade. My three newest MBPs do not have any original RAM installed and I have been able to upgrade them successfully with out any issues.
My speculation is that your newer RAM may not be 100% compatible with your MBP. It may be good enough to run the MBP but fail on certain updates. You might run the Apple Hardware Test in a loop overnight and see if any RAM issues are developed.
