Q: Why won't logic recognise a stereo vocal input?

Hi there,

I have a rode NT1-A mic which is able to record stereo or surround vocals, meaning that it is sensitive to

the positioning of a singer or singers surrounding the mic. I have it plugged into an audio interface (scarlett 2i2)

which is in turn connected to my computer via usb. However, when I record vocals on a channel in Logic

pro X one of two undesired outcomes occur. (1) If the input on the channel strip is set to input 1 (mono) then the

vocals are recorded as completely mono with no stereo width whatsoever but (2) if I then change the input to 1-2 (stereo) on the channel strip the vocals are recorded on solely the left stereo channel, meaning they playback on only the left speaker. So the question is, how do I get Logic pro X to record stereo vocals? (I have done it once before in

another project, so I know its possible, however, when I try recording more vocals in that particular project's channel strip, the same issue occurs.)

I would be so grateful for any help with this matter as I just cannot seem to find a solution.

Thanks for your help!
