Q: Possible Apple "Order Receipt" email scam ?
Hello,
I am not sure if I'm posting in the right community but i do not know where to share it:
I received today at 6:22 an email from Apple TM with an 'order receipt' charging me 47.99 GBP for a "Music Membership" purchased from "Thomas iPhone". I never bought this membership in the first place, I was asleep at that point and woke up at 10am. When I saw this I panicked and tried to click on the email below "Cancel and Manage Subscriptions" I was immediately sent to the main YouTube page. The email of the sender was nothing like the previous emails I received from purchases from the Apple Store and appeared very suspicious.
I immediately checked my apple ID and the last purchase was dating back on the 14.July 2016. I am not sure but I think it is a scam. I do not know what to do, I panicked and clicked "cancel and manage supscriptions" and I do not know if they hacked me or not. I'm running now a Virus Scan on my computer just to be sure. I also reported the email as a spam to Microsoft.
Is there any way that Apple can check if my account has been hacked or if I am going to be charged this 47.99 GBP?
sincerely,
Katie

It's a phishing email trying to get your account and payment details, it's not from Apple (and Apple are not here, we are fellow users) - you could forward it to Apple : reportphishing@apple.com , and then delete it.
