Check that Wrist Detection is turned on: on your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Wrist Detection - turn on.
Also check that you are wearing your watch sufficiently snugly on the top of your wrist (if it is worn too loosely, your watch may believe that it has been removed from your wrist):

Sep 2, 2016 11:47 AM in response to Jonathan UKby laustin5,The wrist detecation is on. The only way to address this is to take the watch off my wrist, then the notifications will stop. If I am wearing the watch, it always notifies on every exchange of texts, and is very annoying.
