Sep 2, 2016 12:06 PM in response to Andrewsilesia5408by KiltedTim,Sorry. You can't. Skype will not run on iOS 7.1.2. The iPhone 4 can not run anything higher than 7.1.2. It's obsolete.
It's time to seriously consider upgrading to a newer phone.

Sep 2, 2016 12:55 PM in response to Csound1by ShagCA,Wasn't my own words. System req from skype.com. If they have a version that works on iOS 5 and 6, I find it hard to believe it can't run on iOS 7 unless of course their website is out of date.

Sep 2, 2016 12:58 PM in response to ShagCAby Csound1,Then they are wrong and you repeated their error. Because it is an error, nothing that needs IOS 8 will run on an iPhone 4, for obvious reasons.
Earlier versions (if available) should work.
