Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to be able to rely on your iPhone, especially if you use it as much as I do, and I'd like to help get yours up and running again.
It sounds like your phone is still on but the screen is unresponsive. Before we go to far it's a good idea to try a hard reset if you have not already. This will not delete any of your data or info, it simply forces the phone to shut down and restart. You can do this by pressing and holding the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time for about 30 seconds, or until the apple logo appears on screen.
If you've already tried that, or if it does not work, restoring from recovery mode would be our next step. This process will wipe the phone and re-install the latest version of iOS, so you'll want to restore from a backup in either iCloud or iTunes to get your photos, data and contacts back.
These Articles will guide you through activating recovery Mode, Restoring the device, and Restoring your backup:
If you can‘t update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
If, after restoring the iPhone, the screen still does not work, you may need to seek service from your nearest Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider.
