    Hello flight_test,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I know having an issue with exporting slideshows from Photos for OS X is not what you expect. Based on what you stated in your other thread and the troubleshooting already suggested, I would recommend testing in a new user on your Mac as this can figure out if unexpected behavior is related to user file or setting by trying to reproduce the issue from another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, logging in to it, and testing for the issue.

You may also want to try exporting the slideshow in different definition (480p, 720p or 1080p) and seeing if that makes a difference with this issue:

    Cheers!

    Many thanks, CarlosP1228 -

The issue is now resolved !

A comparison of the Login Items of the New User account to the (default) Normal Admin User Account revealed an apparent remnant of the VLC streamer App (that I thought had been uninstalled).

Removing the VLC App from the Login Items of the Normal Admin User Account eliminated the Export issue entirely.

Slide Transitions are now smooth in all Themes and in 1080p.

Apple Support Communities are a wonderful resource.

    Yay !
