If you read the documentation it tells you that information. Dual Boot on the Mac requires the use of the Boot Camp Assistant utility in the Utilities folder. Sep 2, 2016 2:43 PM in response to Kappyby RyanCooper50,Yes i'm using Boot Camp which to my knowledge won't format to NTFS for an obvious reason. and i know that during the Windows Setup screen you could format it form there but not always. and thats' my case, it refuses to evven read my drive so im trying to format it manually.

Sep 2, 2016 10:00 PM in response to Csound1by RyanCooper50,Yes I'm using Windows 10. My drive cannot be formatted by Windows because it can't be recognized. I've done research and read that i can format it manually using a 3rd party software.
any recommendations?
if not then ill scrap this idea, it doesn't seem Dual Boot was ever intended to be booted off a flash drive/usb stick. So ill go and buy a Desktop because I've waited too long.
