Q: How can I access again a local coded back-up

Hi,

on my former computer a made an encrypted back-up of my apple devices but forgot the password I used.

I bought a new computer but the local back-up is still encrypted and I still don' t remember the password. How can I bypass that so I can create a new encrypted back-up with a new password?

iTunes, Windows 10, former computer was windows8

The password for the encrypted backup is stored on the phone. Remember it and you can turn off backup encryption. Otherwise you can restore as a new device and start over from scratch.
