Q: how do I get back to default view of  SMS texts in Messages app?  It now only shows list of buddies and only last message read

How do I get back to default view of  SMS texts in Messages app?  It now only shows list of buddies on the left in a narrow list with only the latest text on the right.  No way to search!  Completely different layout from what it was a few days ago! I have an iMac with El Capitan.  I can't find any setting to revert to original view.

    Hi,

     

    The Side Bar which is currently on showing headshots of your Contacts and /or Buddies can be dragged bigger.

    Mouse over the divider between the Side Bar and the main text area. When the cursor changes click and drag right.
