Q: WiFy icon dim with an ! in it.

WiFy icon dim with an ! in it. WiFy works but is slow. What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Launch AirPort Utility from Applications > Utilities folder, click on the device and see what it says the issue is. You can also use third-party utilities.

I went system preferences, selected network, un checked the show icon box and then re selected the show icon box and that fixed it.

Next time try toggling the icon off and on.
