Q: iTunes on my iPad always shows 1800 downloads waiting
The iTunes App on my iPad Pro always shows over 1800 downloads waiting. I use iTunes Music Match and all of my music appears to be available. I have downloaded some playlists to the iPad but not all. It appears that the downloads waiting are purchased items from the iTunes Store. Why are they showing when they are all ready in Music Match?
They will not download when selected. Any suggestions how to get rid of the download notification?
iMac with Retina 5K display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

The following steps may help with odd syncing behaviour. They assume that all of the content you want on the device is in your library ready for restoring. If it isn't see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device first. I would also recommend you copy everything out of the camera roll if you haven't already.
- Backup device.
- Restore as a new device.
- Restore the backup you made earlier.
Use an encrypted backup if you want to preserve passwords, wi-fi settings, web history and health data where appropriate.
