Q: It's the charger that came with the phone. But my iPad charger that is over 2 years old works fine on my phone. What is wrong

Whenever I plug my charger into my iPhone 6s Plus i receive a pop that says this accessory may not be recognized and won't take a charge. It's the charger that came with the phone. But my iPad charger that is over 2 years old works fine on my phone. What is wrong? And why won't my charger work. I also have another charger at work that the phone doesn't even recognize me plugging the charger in but works fine on a coworkers phone. Suggestions?

I Don't have an issue with my iPad charger. It's with the charger that came with my iPhone. It won't recognize it therefore won't charge. But it charges other people's phones an devices.

Testing another usb cord like the one from your iPad and having it work would indicate that the usb cord for your iPhone is defective. If the iPhone usb cord is 2 years old, you will need to purchase a new one.

Let's be clear about what you are talking about. When you say "charger" do you mean a "lightning cable"? It isn't a charger. Or do you mean the thing that plugs into the wall? It is a USB adapter; it is not a "charger" either. the charger is built into the phone, not an external device.
