Q: CD ripped in iTunes problem

Hello. I am a MacBook Air user with OS X 10.11.5. So I have a USB SuperDrive and so I decided to rip some CDs to my iTunes Library. All CDs worked fine, except for one. When I played the songs after they were imported, most of the songs were cut off in the middle sections and such. I have an example in waveform view from Audacity:

As you can see, there is a tiny gap. I know it's tiny, but it's bugging me, because the audio suddenly felt like it paused automatically then continues. I don't like this because I want my songs to be completely uncut to sound normal. Is it because the CD has low quality sound, or is it because I use the USB SuperDrive or something?

Oh yeah, I also imported my CD in Apple Lossless form (is that what you call it?). I thought it would mean that the songs would not be cut or it will be glitching, but it also doesn't work. Is there a way to fix this? Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi,

I have had this problem with the USB superdrive. I'm not quite sure why! Could it be a fault in the disc?

Where I have had this problem, I have re-ripped them successfully using XLD app. I have not had this problem when I ripped them in an older iMac which has the internal CD player. I tend rip most of my CDs on the old compute!!
