Oct 31, 2015 1:30 PM in response to UncleSkippyby cuppytsen,I am having the same 'unknown' wireless connection readings on all my Airport Express and Extreme routers when I open up Airport Utility on OS El Capitan, where it used to be 'Good' or 'Excellent' wireless connection under OS Yosemite. I double checked all my wired and wireless connections. The internet seems to be working fine with all my devices. Hopefully Apple would issue a software update patch soon.
Although it's just an Airport Utility reading error, the wifi is not affected, I still need this corrected so I know where is the best location to place my Airport Extreme router to maximize wireless extension.

Nov 24, 2015 6:25 PM in response to UncleSkippyby jbinDenver,I am seeing the same phenomenon after installing a new Airport Time Capsule, using prior Airport devices to extend network, and upgrading to a laptop running El Capitan.
It is annoying. How can we get Apple to fix this bug?

Sep 4, 2016 10:34 AM in response to UncleSkippyby DLMartin,I have noticed this same change across devices reported in the Airport Utility (Airport Extremes, Airport Expresses). This is especially an issue because I'm also trying to find out why my Airplay signal has started dropping regularly again. The timing of these two conditions seems to be concurrent.
