HI

how exactly do I remove certain parts of a video clip?  I can find how to extend or shorten clips or to delete entire clips but nothing about removing certain parts

    Hi,

Hold down the "r" key and place your cursor on the clip at the in-point of where you want to start cutting, and while pressing your mouse or trackpad drag the cursor over the clip until you reach your outpoint.   You will then see a yellow box outlined that you can cut or edit independently of the rest of the clip.

Another way to do it is it press "i" at your in point and "o" at your outpoint, and you will get the same yellow box.

You can also place the cursor at the in-point where you want to cut and choose split clip from the modify menu. Then move the cursor to your out-point and choose split again. Then delete the middle section you want to eliminate.
