Q: SERIOUS problem with latest update!

My MacBook Pro would not restart after this update. It would only boot into OS X Utilities. I had to restore it from Time Machine, which I ran two days ago, thank God! Has anyone else had a similar issue? Disk Utility said HD is OK.

My MacBook Pro is from mid 2012

2.5 Ghz Intel Core i5

8 GB RAM

OSX 10.11.6

yep did this to my 27 inch iMac as well. ***** when they do this to the consumer without considering the outcome. Not the same as they used to be.
