iBooks
Q: Book purchased in iBook Store won't open
I purchased a book via iBook on my iPad, but when I try to open it, I get the following message:
"Cannot Open _____. It is formatted incorrectly, or is not a format that iBooks can open."
I would think that iBooks would only sell books that the app can open... How can I fix this issue?

Try deleting the book, then download it afresh from Updates > Purchases.
If this doesn't help, let Apple know of the problem.
