Q: Phone blanks out and they say suddenly a part is missing?

Dear Apple,

I have encountered a problem with my iPhone 6. Around two weeks back, I was playing music on my iPhone on the loudspeaker. I pressed the Lock button to access the phone but the screen refused to light up. The music continued to play until the battery died.

I gave it to the Apple Service Center (Maple at R-City Mall) in Mumbai. They "diagnosed" it and informed us that some parts, the cowling and the flex cable, were missing. That seemed strange since the only people who have handled the phone are the Apple Store and I, and I do not even know how to open the phone.

I was checking for explanations online and came across a thread where a few others have had the same issue. I've provided the link for the same below:

Now I don't know if this is a manufacturing defect or a problem with the Apple Store, but it has left me without my phone. You have to understand that this iPhone cost me a full month's salary, and I can't afford to just toss it out for something I haven't done.

Please help me out with this and let me know what can be done,

Awaiting a reply.

Thank you.

Regards,
