Q: Xfinity

When I attempt to open a video on the Xfinity home page it just clocks/loading. I have no problems with other sites.  The non video articles load just fine. Xfinity can't resolve the issue.

What video? What format? What browser? What has Xfinity tried to do to fix the problem?

FWIW, I tested the "What is Infinity X1?" on the home page and it behaves differently depending on the browser. Firefox seems to open it without a problem. Safari will open it but you have to refresh the page. Chrome will play it once you hit the small play button on the bottom left of the video. When you close the video the audio does not stop if you don't pause it first.

They need to fix their page.

I have Yosemite 10.10.5.  They are news videos from various networks. Go to the individual networks and they work just fine. Xfinity has recommended that I empty my cache which I did. From what I have read on the net, this is an ongoing problem.

FWIW, If you can play videos on all but one site, it seems obvious there is a problem with the site. Which they would have to fix.

I should have mentioned something which might be an issue. I forgot about it because I don't use my ISPs home site to view videos from other sites. If you have an adblocker or anything that blocks tracking cookies enabled, that could cause the problem you are seeing.
