Q: Burn a disc at 1080 50p
i have imported and edited a movie at 1980 x 1080 50p. How can I burn it to a disc in this resolution? It's a short, and if I try to burn it as a BluRay on a DVD it does it automatically at 720 resolution. When I used to film at 25i it allowed the bigger 1080 resolution.
would Toast, or Compressor do it? And would I need a separate BluRay burner, or would I be able to do it as a BluRay on a DVD?
Or, having done it at 50p, can I downsize it to 25 and burn it at 1080?
I have to burn some kind of disc for a film club showing, but I want to make the best possible disc.
I just have FCPX. IF I dont want to spend extra money on programmes and burners, am I best to stick to 25i or p For future filming?

It has nothing to do with the application. It's the specifications that were originally laid out when the Blu-ray format was first agreed on. The format doesn't support it.
