Q: IOS synch

Hi,

I don't know what happened but that the synchronization of contacts is no longer running.

If I enter a new contact from my I iphone/ipad it doesn't synch on outlook.com nor gmail.com. The same happens if I edit a contact on the device, the change is not updated on outlook.com not gmail.com.

Any suggestions ?.

Thank a lot.

    Hello Hsottil,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

I see that when you enter a new contact on your iPhone/iPad the change isn't reflected on outlook.com or gmail.com. And the same thing will happen if you edit a contact. I understand the importance of being able to add and edit your contacts so they will be updated.

First, please make sure that both of these accounts are set up on your iPhone by following this path: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Accounts. If they are already set up, select each account, and make sure that Contacts is enabled (green).

If they still aren't syncing, please give your iPhone a fresh restart, and then test again. The following article will help:

Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Cheers.

    Greetings Hsottil,

Thank you for trying those steps. There's a couple more things that we would like you to try.

First, please use the following article to make sure that you have a backup of your iPhone's important data:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Then, use the following article to restore your iPhone to factory settings, and then test to see if you get the same issue:

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Restoring to factory settings is a good isolation testing step, as it basically sets up the iPhone as new and can rule out numerous issues.

    Best Regards.
