Q: Error code 1045
I recently started to have difficulty with one of my mail accounts. My service provider says there's not a problem on their side. It works fine on webmail and my ipad, but can only receive mail on my MacBook Pro. I'm running the latest iOS update. I've tried fixing all sorts of things. Including the clicking off SSL repeatedly, etc. My other email account works perfectly.
I need constructive advice please.
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

Is this new? After upgrade to El Capitan or out of the blue? What event may have preceded its onset"
Only one email account or all?
Tell us what email provider - Gmail, YahooMail, your ISP

I have an account with YahooMail. They made a change recently on their end that prevented my Mail client (Thunderbird) from sending or receiving mail - BUT - they were smart enough to "detect" the attempt and sent me an email which I received on my Android YahooMail App! There was a "switch" that could be flipped at Yahoo Account management web page to 'trust all' apps that solved.
