Q: Safari 9.1.3 quits as soon as I start it

I attempt to open Safari 9.1.3, and it:  flashes a blank page on my screen, and then is gone.  There is no "unexpectedly quit" panel or anything -- nothing else.  I restarted my MacBook Pro, no improvement.

I'm using FireFox to write this.

Is there anything to do about it?

Please run EtreCheck and post the report here.

        http://etresoft.com/etrecheck

Download it, open Downloads folder, click on it to open, and then select ”Open”.

Click on the bouncing  EtreCheck icon in the Dock.

“Choose a problem” from the popup menu box, and then “Start EtreCheck” in the dialog.

Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” .

Paste it here when you reply.

        Use Firefox to download EtreCheck.

Computer was off overnight, and when I booted this a.m. Safari is working normally.  I don't know what was any different than previous restart or hard start before I reported the problem.  So, I suppose no benefit to EtreCheck report.

Only thing diffrerent with computer in last few days is:  Apple Security Update on 9/2/16, and updates to "Duplicate Cleaner for iPhoto" and "Style" both on 9/4/16.  I'm not pointing, I'm just saying.

    Thanks, Dominic
